Description
This is the stoptail bridge PRS ships on its own Stoptail-equipped guitars — machined from aluminum and left unplated, then polished to a clean, bare-metal finish that shows off the material rather than hiding it under chrome or gold. It’s a solid choice if you’re chasing a slightly different resonant character than a plated bridge, or if you just want your original hardware looking sharp again.
Fitment is straightforward on core PRS Stoptail models, and the bridge itself will physically sit on SE-line guitars as well. One important caveat: the studs included here are sized for USA-made PRS instruments and will not thread into SE bridges, so SE owners will need to keep their factory studs in play.
- Machined aluminum stoptail bridge, unplated and polished
- Includes 2 matching brass studs with unplated threads
- Includes intonation adjustment tool
- Fits PRS Stoptail models (bridge fits SE-line, studs do not)
A quick setup note: when adjusting intonation, skip anything narrow or pointed on the stud slot. A wide, flat driver — think a large-head slotted screwdriver — gives you the leverage and contact you need without chewing up the slot or slipping under load.
Whether you’re restoring a Stoptail-equipped PRS to spec or swapping in unplated hardware for tonal or aesthetic reasons, this is the correct, factory-matched part for the job.
