Description
The Aldrich bridge humbucker is what happens when a legendary pickup builder and a shred-ready rock guitarist decide the usual high-output pickups just aren’t cutting it. John Suhr and Doug Aldrich built this one specifically for players who dig in hard and need the pickup to keep up.
- Suhr’s highest-output bridge humbucker to date
- Punchy, focused mids with tight, controlled low end – no flub even at extreme gain
- High-mids that cut through the mix without turning harsh or ice-picky on top
- Handles everything from palm-muted low-string chug to soaring high-register bends
- Preserves pick-attack dynamics instead of flattening them out
- DC Resistance: 17.5K ohms
- 4-conductor wiring for coil-split/series-parallel flexibility
This particular version is built to Fender-style 53mm trem spacing (an F-spaced 50mm Gibson-style version is also available), so it’s a direct fit for guitars using that pole-spacing standard – check your bridge pickup’s pole spacing before ordering.
Pair it with the Aldrich neck humbucker for a matched set. Suhr calibrated the neck pickup’s output specifically to complement the bridge unit while keeping its own clarity, mid-range warmth, tight lows, and sweet top end intact – so rhythm chunk, bluesy leads, and high-gain runs all stay coherent whether you’re on the bridge, neck, or blending both.
