Description
The DSH is Suhr’s mellower answer to their SSH bridge humbucker — same double-row screw construction, but voiced with a softer top end and richer harmonic complexity underneath a tight, controlled low end. It’s built for guitarists who want a bridge pickup that pushes a tube amp into overdrive without turning harsh, and still cleans up into something warm and articulate when you back off the volume.
Suhr has been hand-building guitars and pickups since 1997 under JS Technologies, the partnership between John Suhr and Steve Smith. Their humbuckers and single coils are reverse-engineered from the best vintage pickups ever made, then refined with modern winding precision and top-shelf components — which is why players from Scott Henderson to Guthrie Govan and Reb Beach rely on them for stage and studio work. ProAudioLand was named Suhr’s 2015 Electronics Dealer of the Year, so you’re getting these straight from a shop that knows the line inside and out.
This DSH is set up for the bridge position with a Gibson-style 50mm pole spacing, an Alnico V magnet for that classic vintage pull, and 4-conductor hookup wire so you can wire it for coil-splitting or series/parallel switching if your build calls for it. Finished in black.
