Description
Suhr built the DSH as the warmer sibling to their popular SSH bridge humbucker, and that extra warmth shows up right where you feel it: in the top-end. Instead of a bright, glassy attack, the DSH rolls off just enough edge to deliver smooth, harmonically rich highs while keeping the low end controlled and tight rather than boomy.
Wound and assembled by hand in JS Technologies’ shop under John Suhr and Steve Smith, this pickup reflects the same obsession with vintage tone that’s made Suhr Guitars a go-to for players spanning blues, jazz, and hard rock – Scott Henderson, Guthrie Govan, and Kirk Fletcher among them. The DSH’s Alnico V magnet and moderate 12.8 kOhm output give you enough push to drive a tube amp into natural overdrive, without sacrificing the note definition and dynamic response that make a guitar feel alive under your fingers.
Recognizable by its double row of screws, the DSH is built to Gibson-style 50mm spacing and finished in a clean white cover that suits a wide range of guitars. Four-conductor hookup wire is included, so you’ve got full flexibility for series/parallel switching, coil splitting, or phase reversal wiring – whatever your setup calls for.

ProAudioLand was named Suhr’s 2015 Electronics Dealer of the Year, and pickups like the DSH are exactly why – vintage-informed tone, modern build quality, and the kind of detail that translates straight from your fingers to your amp.
