Description
The Suhr SSH is the bridge half of Suhr’s most-loved humbucker pairing (alongside the DSH), designed to hit that sweet spot between punchy output and open, vintage-flavored tone. It’s not a one-trick high-gain humbucker — there’s enough push in the midrange to drive a tube amp into natural overdrive, but the pickup still cleans up nicely and stays articulate when you back off your guitar’s volume or dig into chord voicings.
What sets the SSH apart is how much detail survives the trip from strings to amp. Pick attack, dynamics, and the acoustic character of your guitar come through with real clarity, so single notes cut through a busy mix instead of getting buried, and rhythm parts stay defined rather than turning into mush.
This particular listing is the zebra bobbin version (black and cream coils), built with Suhr’s 53mm Fender-style pole spacing to line up correctly with strat-spaced bridges. Under the hood you’re getting genuinely high-grade components — magnet, wire, and bobbin quality that Suhr uses across the board, not a budget line.
- DC Resistance: 13K ohms
