Suhr Guitars has been hand-building instruments and pickups since 1997 under JS Technologies Inc., co-founded by John Suhr and Steve Smith. Their reputation wasn’t earned by chasing trends — it came from obsessing over vintage tone and refining it with modern consistency. Players as varied as Scott Henderson, Guthrie Govan, Doug Aldrich, and Kirk Fletcher rely on Suhr pickups precisely because they respond to touch and dynamics the way great old pickups do, without the unpredictability.
The SSH+ is one half of Suhr’s flagship high-output bridge duo, sitting alongside the DSH+. Where the DSH+ uses a double row of screws for a smoother, rounder attack, the SSH+ flips the layout — a single row of screws paired with a single row of slugs — giving you a brighter, more cutting voice with extra bite on the top end. It’s equally at home carving out clear, articulate cleans, driving classic rock rhythm tones, screaming through 80s shred leads, or holding its own in modern high-gain rigs.
Hand-selected Alnico V magnets and premium wire and components give the SSH+ a musical, punchy character that reacts to the tonewoods in your guitar rather than fighting them.
