Description
Seymour Duncan built the Antiquity II Mini-Humbucker around a story he loves to tell: guitarist Glenn Schwartz, of early James Gang and Pacific Gas & Electric fame, played a battered old Epiphone® Sheraton™ loaded with mini-humbuckers that produced a tone far bigger than its small footprint suggested. That anecdote became the blueprint for this pickup — an attempt to bottle that same outsized voice in a mini-humbucker that drops right into a P-90 soapbar cover-style mounting ring, no routing surgery required.
This is the bridge unit, wound to 8.1K DC ohms with 4.37 henries of inductance and a Q of 2.01, paired with magnets calibrated at 15/20 gauss on the adjustable side (S-adj.). Adjustable pole pieces let you dial in string-to-string balance, and the aged-spec construction is meant to deliver that broken-in, slightly worn character Antiquity pickups are known for rather than a pristine, sterile output.
