Description
Forget stacking pedals to chase a tone—the AMT SS-10 puts a genuine 4-stage all-tube preamp (2x 12AX7) into a single rackspace unit just 3.5″ deep, so it tucks into a studio rack or rides right on your board. It’s built around three fully independent channels—Clean, Crunch, and Lead—each switchable via the front-panel red buttons or hands-free with the optional AMT FS-2 footswitch.
- Clean channel: Low/Mid/High EQ plus a 3-position tone-stack switch lets you shift the entire character of the clean channel before you even touch the knobs—handy for matching wildly different pickups or dialing in anything from warm, tube-driven sweetness to shimmering top-end sparkle.
- Crunch channel: Gain, Level, Low, Mid, High, Presence, and a 3-position Treble Shift switch cover blues breakup, classic rock drive, and vintage ’80s crunch without ever sounding thin or brittle.
- Lead channel: Same control set as Crunch, but built for players who never think there’s enough gain on tap. Screaming, saturated, low-B-ready distortion for drop tuners and anyone chasing an extreme lead tone.
Each channel gets its own Gain and Level, plus a master volume for total output control. Routing is equally thoughtful: Amp Out, Cab Sim Out, and Headphones Out cover live and studio monitoring, guitar input jacks sit on both the front and rear panels, and an FX loop with its own level knob keeps your time-based and modulation pedals happy. One box, three amps’ worth of tone, zero compromise on real tube feel.
