The BC5CBC-B is the neck-position pickup from Bartolini’s Classic Bass (CB) series, built in the BC soapbar footprint for 5-string basses. Like the rest of the CB line, it’s a true dual-coil humbucker designed to open up the top end of your tone — you get noticeably more air, sparkle, and note definition up high, without thinning out the fundamental low end that 5-string players depend on.
Bartolini casts these pickups in epoxy, which locks the coils and magnet structure in place. That solid potting kills microphonic squeal and stray hum before they become a stage problem, so you get a quiet, stable signal even at higher gain or with aggressive EQ boosts.
Because it shares Bartolini’s standard screw hole spacing (1:1), dropping this into an existing BC-routed cavity is straightforward — no need to rework your pickguard or body routing to make it fit.
