Description
Rewiring a control cavity by hand is one of those jobs that eats an entire evening and still leaves you second-guessing your solder joints. Bartolini’s HR-2.4AP/918 harness sidesteps all of that by arriving fully assembled with their respected preamp electronics and audio-grade potentiometers already wired to spec, so all you’re doing is dropping it in.
This particular configuration runs a 3-band EQ built around a single volume hole and two tone holes:
- Volume pot with an Active/Passive push-pull switch, so you can bypass the preamp entirely when you want your bass raw and unfiltered
- Stacked Treble/Bass control paired with a Mid pot that includes a 2-frequency push-pull switch, giving you a choice of midrange sweep points rather than being locked to one
That kind of flexibility is exactly why Bartolini’s preamps show up in high-end custom builds — you get shaping power that goes well beyond a passive tone knob, without needing an engineering degree to dial it in.
In the box: a second battery clip for anyone wiring up an 18V power option, clear wiring instructions, and black ring and center knobs sized for the tone stack. Pots are built to hold up under years of stage and studio use, so the smooth feel you get on day one should still be there long after the gig-bag miles pile up.
