The PBF-49 is Bartolini’s take on the neck-position humbucker that started it all — built to capture the tonal character of early vintage PAF-era pickups rather than chase modern high-output aggression. Designed in collaboration with veteran Chicago-turned-Austin builder Ed Reynolds, it’s wound to sit near 7.5K-ohm, giving you tighter, more defined low end than a typical vintage-spec humbucker while keeping the treble sweet instead of shrill.
