The Bartolini T4CBC-T is a bridge-position soapbar pickup shaped specifically for T-Bird style 4-string basses, giving you a drop-in option that keeps the classic soapbar footprint while modernizing what’s under the cover.
It’s part of Bartolini’s Classic Bass (CB) lineup, a series voiced for extended, more resonant frequency response than typical passive designs. Rather than compressing the tone into a narrow midrange hump, the CB series stretches the frequency window in both directions, so you get more articulate top-end detail without sacrificing the low and low-mid weight that gives a Thunderbird bass its signature growl.
Inside, CNC-machined blade magnets are used for tight manufacturing tolerances and consistent output across the coil. The blade design spans the full string spread, covering 50mm to 59mm string spacing on a medium neck, so pole alignment isn’t a concern even if you’ve swapped strings or adjusted spacing slightly.
Hum-cancelling construction keeps the noise floor quiet, letting the pickup’s extended frequency range come through clean rather than buried under 60-cycle hum. The coil is epoxy-coated for stability and long-term reliability, standard Bartolini build quality that holds up to heavy gigging.
