This is the Fishman Fluence Classic set, gold-finished and built as a matched neck/bridge pair. Instead of chasing vintage tone through old-school winding tricks, Fishman started fresh with the Fluence Core – an active pickup design engineered to strip out the hum, inductance loss, and treble drag that even good passive humbuckers suffer from. What’s left is a cleaner, more direct signal that still lands squarely in humbucker territory tonally.
Each pickup gives you two genuinely different voices rather than a subtle coil-tap variation. The bridge splits between a calibrated Vintage P.A.F. voice (peak at 2.25kHz) and a Classic Hotrod voice (peak at 1.6kHz) for more push without extra noise. The neck pairs a Vintage P.A.F. voice (2.6kHz peak) with a Fluence-exclusive airy, chimey voice (peaks at 4.5kHz and 350Hz) that opens up the top end while keeping the low end tight.
