Fishman took its Fluence Modern 7-string humbuckers and gave them a third personality. Alongside the two voices that made this active platform a favorite for extended-range players, you now get an optimized single-coil voice built right in — no extra routing, no compromise, just a real split-coil tone waiting behind a switch.
The neck pickup uses alnico magnets, so it keeps the organic push and dynamic response players associate with traditional humbuckers, but scaled up with active output. Voice 1 delivers a full, rounded, boosted active alnico tone with far more articulation than a passive design could manage. Voice 2 strips things back to a crisp, clean, fluid neck sound — the kind of clarity that usually comes at the cost of thinness, except here it doesn’t. Voice 3 unlocks a glassy, crystal-clear single-coil character for chiming cleans and quack.
The bridge pickup runs ceramic magnets for a sharper, more aggressive edge. Voice 1 is the active ceramic tone: searing crunch, tight low end, zero mud, plenty of growl. Voice 2 switches to a passive-style ceramic voicing with organic high output and excellent distortion behavior while retaining Fluence’s dynamic feel. Voice 3 brings a bright, clear single-coil tone for cutting through a mix.
Both pickups are Multi-Voice — wire them up to toggle live between all three tones, or set your favorite and leave it. They’re also rechargeable in the guitar: pair with an optional lithium-ion battery pack for weeks of playing time rather than hours.
