Description
The Modern Humbucker set pairs an Alnico V neck pickup with a Ceramic VIII bridge pickup, both built around Fishman’s Fluence Core technology instead of traditional wire winding. That means zero hum, zero inductance-related tone loss, and a noticeably clearer top end even at high gain.
Each pickup packs two distinct, musically useful voices. The Alnico neck delivers full, woody chord voicings and fluid lead tone with a character unlike any conventional humbucker — equally at home soloed or paired with the ceramic bridge. The Ceramic bridge brings sharp, articulate attack with aggressive active punch in one voice and punchy passive bite in the other, giving you brutal rhythm tones and cutting leads from a single pickup.
Both pickups are Multi-Voice, so you can set your favorite tone and forget it, or wire in a push-pull or mini-toggle to flip between voices on the fly. They drop straight into standard humbucker routing, and run happily on a 9-volt battery or Fishman’s optional rechargeable lithium-ion pack, which stretches playing time from hours into weeks.
- Alnico peak frequency: Voice 1 630Hz / Voice 2 550Hz & 8kHz

- Magnetic circuit: bar magnet with blades
- Gauss strength at string: 120 (Alnico) / 145 (Ceramic)
