Description
Ukuleles don’t usually get much love in the amplification department, so Fishman built this ceramic undersaddle piezo specifically to fit under the saddle of a uke rather than being a shrunk-down guitar part. It’s a passive design, meaning there’s no battery to remember or replace — just a crystal sensor that translates string vibration straight into signal.
Because it’s passive, an impedance-matching preamp is worth pairing with it if you want the fullest, most natural output; the pickup will work without one, but a preamp helps it breathe. Fishman also offers this pickup with a Powerjack Active Endpin Jack Preamp built in, so you can go that route if you’d rather have the electronics handled in one piece.
Sized for ukulele: a 3/32″ (2.3mm) saddle width with 1.67″ (42.4mm) G to A string spacing, so it sits correctly under a uke saddle rather than fighting for space meant for a guitar.
