Being passive, it draws no power on its own, though pairing it with an impedance-matching preamp will get you a fuller, more balanced signal – not mandatory, but worth considering if you’re chasing maximum headroom and tonal accuracy. On its own, the AGX-094 already leans bright and articulate, cutting through a mix cleanly while staying resistant to feedback at stage volume, which matters a lot on 12-strings pushing extra low end and overtones.
