Description
Forget slapping a soundhole pickup on your archtop and hoping for the best — Fishman built this one directly into the bridge itself. Twin vibration-sensing piezo elements are embedded in an adjustable ebony bridge, picking up the actual mechanical motion of the top and strings rather than just amplifying string vibration in isolation. The result is a plugged-in tone that stays honest to the acoustic character of your instrument, with the kind of air and body that archtop players chase for years.
Because the bridge itself is doing the sensing, there’s no soundhole pickup to install or magnetic field to interfere with your guitar’s natural resonance. The ebony construction is adjustable, so intonation and action stay in your hands as they would with any quality archtop bridge.
Piezo output is happiest through an impedance-matching preamp, though it isn’t mandatory — plenty of players run it straight into a DI or acoustic amp with good results. Given that this pickup replaces your bridge, professional installation is strongly recommended to make sure fit, height, and intonation are dialed in correctly.

If you want your archtop to sound like itself when it’s plugged in, this is how Fishman gets you there.
