If you’ve ever tried squeezing a full-featured preamp into a slim-bodied acoustic and come up short on real estate, the Prefix Pro Blend was made for exactly that problem. Its bezel takes up about a third less space than the standard Prefix Plus footprint, so it drops neatly into smaller-bodied guitars without crowding the soundhole.
Despite the compact size, nothing about the control set feels stripped down. You get volume alongside dedicated bass and treble, plus a wide-range semi-parametric Contour EQ for dialing in the exact frequency you want to push or pull. The built-in microphone blends with the undersaddle pickup via a dedicated blend knob, letting you shape a hybrid tone that’s part piezo snap, part natural air – run it stereo or sum it to mono depending on your rig.
Feedback is handled with a notch filter and phase switch, so you can push more volume onstage before things get squirrelly. A pivoting design gives you fast access to the 9V battery without tools or fuss, rated for roughly 140 hours of playing time.
