If you’re running a Powerbridge alongside your magnetic pickups, the Powerchip is the missing link that lets you actually control the blend without reaching for a rack unit. It’s an onboard piezo volume control designed specifically by Fishman to pair with their Powerbridge system, giving you real-time command over how much acoustic-style piezo signal mixes in with your magnetic tone.
The real trick is the exclusive ‘Smart Switch’ circuit. Instead of forcing you to commit to one output configuration, it automatically detects and routes your piezo and magnetic signals — splitting them out to stereo when you want to run them separately (say, into an acoustic amp and a guitar amp), or summing them to mono when you just want one blended signal out of a single cable. No manual switching, no guesswork.
Keep in mind this is an active circuit, so it needs a 9-volt battery installed in the guitar cavity to run. Fishman also sells a dedicated battery box (ACC-BAT-001) separately if you need a cleaner installation solution.
