Everyone loves the bite of a vintage Telecaster single coil until the hum starts creeping in under stage lights or fluorescent fixtures. Fender built this Vintage Noiseless set to solve exactly that problem without sanding off the character that makes a Tele sound like a Tele. These are the pickups Fender itself specced into pre-2010 American Deluxe Telecaster models, so the vintage-forward voicing has already been road-tested at the factory level.
Alnico 2 magnets keep the attack soft-edged and the midrange from getting harsh, which suits chicken-pickin’ twang as much as it does slower, cleaner passages. Enamel-coated magnet wire adds to that warmer, old-school flavor rather than the brighter, more modern edge you’d get from poly-coated wire. Flush-mount pole pieces even out the response string to string, so nothing jumps out or gets buried when you dig in.
