Description
Standard 3-way Tele switching only gets you neck, bridge, and the parallel-combined middle position — this Fender 4-position blade switch adds a fourth click that reroutes your pickups in series instead of parallel. The result is a noticeably hotter, fatter-sounding combined-pickup setting, closer to what you’d hear from a humbucker than the usual glassy Tele blend. It’s the same wiring trick found on plenty of Fender Custom Shop builds, and it drops into any standard Telecaster control plate without requiring a router or new pickguard routing.
- Four-position blade selector switch
- Series/parallel wiring capability for a wider tonal range
- Black “barrel” switch tip, styled correctly for a Telecaster
- Mounting hardware included
If you’ve felt like your Tele’s middle position is a little thin or you just want another flavor without touching the pickups themselves, this switch is the cheapest, most direct route there. Wiring diagrams for series/parallel Tele circuits are widely available if you want to DIY it, or hand it to your favorite tech for a quick swap.
