Description
L.R. Baggs built the Element around a simple idea: the better a pickup contacts the saddle, the more honest your acoustic guitar sounds through an amp or PA. This undersaddle transducer flexes with the bridge instead of fighting it, so coupling stays consistent across the string spread. The payoff is a sensitive, open response with a shimmering top end that avoids the brittle, quacky character undersaddle pickups can be known for.
It’s built to work across common saddle widths and string spacings, including 3/32″ and 1/8″, so string-to-string balance stays even whether you’re fingerpicking or flatpicking hard.
Behind the scenes, a discrete class-A preamp lives in the endpin jack with EQ voicing already dialed in, so there’s no tone-shaping guesswork onstage. A soundhole-mounted mini volume knob gives you quick output control without a single screw hole or soldering iron in sight. A no-drill mesh battery bag keeps the included-style install completely reversible — a single 9V powers the whole system.
