Description
Most soundhole pickups only hear the strings. The M1 hears the guitar. L.R. Baggs built it around TriAxial Dynamic Technology, a joint development from Gary Garrett and Lloyd Baggs that lets the coil respond to top vibration as well as string movement, so you get a blended signal that sounds like the instrument rather than just a magnet under the strings.
That extra dimension is what separates the M1 from typical clip-in units. Instead of forcing you to choose between quick setup and real tone, it delivers both. Onstage, the design’s natural feedback resistance means you can push volume without fighting howl, while adjustable pole pieces let you fine-tune the balance between strings for even output across the neck.
- TriAxial Dynamic Technology blends string and body-top signal
- Highly feedback-resistant for loud stages
- Adjustable pole pieces per string
- Quiet, hum-canceling design
- Gold-plated 1/8″ jack built in for fast swap or removal
- Comes with a pre-wired strapjack harness and 10′ cable for a no-cut, no-drill install
Because everything mounts in the soundhole with no routing or endpin drilling, the M1 is an easy way to get plugged-in tone from a flat-top without altering the guitar. If you’ve been frustrated by thin, string-only pickup sound but don’t want to commit to a permanent install, this is the pickup built to close that gap.
