Description
Most undersaddle pickups only know one trick: react to string pressure. Push hard enough and you get that familiar quacky, compressed bark that no amount of EQ fully cures. L.R. Baggs took a different approach with the Element. Instead of relying on string force alone, its ultra-thin film sensor — just two thousandths of an inch — is engineered to track the actual flex of your soundboard as you play, capturing dynamics and touch sensitivity that string-driven pickups simply miss.
Because the sensor’s footprint is so minimal, it barely interferes with the guitar’s natural acoustic behavior, keeping the coupling between pickup and top as direct and honest as possible. The result is a plugged-in voice that feels closer to how the guitar actually sounds in the room, with far less of that quacky artifact under aggressive playing.
The Stage Pro preamp mounts unobtrusively on the side of your guitar, tucking a full chromatic tuner behind the control panel so the visible face stays clean. Dial in your tone with dedicated bass, mid, and treble controls, then use the Garrett Null notch filter and phase inversion switch to tame feedback on loud stages without sacrificing warmth. A battery drawer with life indicator keeps you gig-ready, and 100+ hours of runtime means you’re not swapping batteries every week.
