Description
Your Strat already has the range for blues, rock, and clean jazz tones — it just can’t go acoustic without howling at you through the amp. L.R. Baggs built the X-Bridge to fix that, packing a vibration-sensing pickup directly into a vintage-style Stratocaster bridge so you get a genuine acoustic-electric voice layered right on top of your existing magnetic pickups, with none of the feedback headaches that plague piezo-loaded electrics at volume.
Because it’s a drop-in replacement for the vintage Strat bridge, installation doesn’t require any routing or guitar surgery — just swap it in and wire up the pickup. That said, fit is everything with vintage-style hardware: this unit uses six pivot screw holes spaced .440″ apart center to center, with 2.2″ spanning the first to sixth hole. Some lookalike bridges on the market share the vintage silhouette but use narrower string and screw spacing, so they won’t be interchangeable — measure before you buy to save yourself a headache on install day.
- Drop-in replacement for vintage Strat bridges
- Six pivot screw holes, .440″ spacing center to center
- 2.2″ span from first to sixth hole (center to center)

If you’ve ever wished your Strat could cover both electric grit and unplugged-style shimmer without switching guitars, the X-Bridge is the shortcut — one instrument, two distinct voices.
