Description
Built with Periphery’s Mark Holcomb, this Alpha & Omega set was designed to handle the technical demands of modern progressive metal — where every palm mute, tapped note, and dense chord voicing needs to stay defined even under heavy distortion.
- Omega (bridge): Delivers a punishing low-mid growl with percussive attack, but keeps enough top-end clarity to prevent fast single-note runs and intricate chord work from turning to mush in a mix.
- Alpha (neck): Breaks from typical neck pickup voicing by blending fat, glassy warmth with the pick attack and note definition usually reserved for bridge pickups — so your phrasing and dynamics come through instead of getting buried.
Ceramic magnets give the set its aggressive edge and tight low-end response, while the 4-conductor shielded cable keeps noise down and gives you flexibility for coil-splitting or series/parallel wiring if your setup supports it.
Made in Santa Barbara, California, this set carries a DCR of 12.96 — plenty of output for high-gain rhythm work without sacrificing the note separation that complex riffing demands.
If your playing lives somewhere between technical precision and outright aggression, this is the pickup set built for that exact space.
