The bridge Dimebucker is the heart of the sound. A ceramic bar magnet paired with dual stainless steel blades gives you scooped mids, a punchy pick attack, and a crunch that sags just slightly when you dig in hard — think of it as distortion with a personality, not a wall of fuzz. Four-conductor lead wire opens up split-coil and series/parallel wiring if you want to experiment, and the whole thing is vacuum wax potted to stay quiet and squeal-free even at stage volume.
For the neck, Dime went with a ’59 Bridge Model instead of a typical neck pickup, chasing a warmer, smoother voice to contrast against the aggressive bridge tone and add extra teeth to his lead lines. It’s fully vintage-inspired in construction, right down to the cloth-braided hookup wire, and also wax potted for stability.
