Description
The Nazgûl is Seymour Duncan’s answer to modern metal’s demand for high output without losing note definition. Its custom-wound ceramic magnet delivers an aggressive, saturated character with a grinding midrange and biting top end, while the low end stays tight and controlled instead of collapsing into mush under palm-muted riffing or drop tunings.
Despite the aggressive output, the Nazgûl doesn’t sacrifice nuance — harmonics ring clearly across the frequency spectrum, so pinch harmonics and lead runs cut through even at high-gain settings. Vacuum wax potting keeps the coils stable, eliminating microphonic squeal so you can push amps and pedals hard without unwanted feedback creeping in.
Flexibility is built into the design: the 4-conductor lead wire opens up coil-split, series/parallel, and other wiring configurations, letting you dial the Nazgûl’s character to fit your rig rather than forcing you into a single tonal box.
