The SH-11 Custom Custom takes Seymour Duncan’s SH-5 Custom blueprint and swaps in an Alnico II magnet, softening the top end while thickening up the midrange and loosening the low end just enough to feel musical rather than mushy. It’s the same DNA as the Custom, just aimed at players who lean vintage but still want real output on tap.
Wound for the bridge position, this is a humbucker for guitars that already run bright — think maple necks, single-cuts, anything with a bit of snap you want to tame without killing dynamics. It cleans up nicely for blues and classic rock rhythm work, then pushes into satisfying grind for heavier rock when you dig in. Country twang and pop leads benefit from that extra push too, since the increased output lets you drive an amp harder without stacking on pedals.
Ships with four-conductor hookup wire, so you’ve got the flexibility to wire in coil-splitting or series/parallel switching if your setup calls for it.
