Description
Seymour Duncan built his reputation rewinding PAFs for London players who wanted more from their Les Pauls, and the Whole Lotta Humbucker is a direct descendant of that work. One of those pickups ended up in a Les Paul that got cranked through a Marshall stack and helped write rock history — you’ve heard the result a thousand times, even if you didn’t know the name behind it.
This is the bridge unit from that set: rough cast Alnico 5 bar magnet, plain enamel wire, and Duncan’s own winding pattern, landing at a hotter-than-vintage 8.78k DC resistance. The rough cast magnet is the secret ingredient — it softens the top end just enough to add warmth without smearing note separation, so big chords stay clear even under heavy gain. Push it hard and you’ll feel a slight natural compression kick in, along with extra sustain, rather than harsh breakup.
Comes wired with a 4-conductor cable, so you’re set up for coil-splitting or phase switching if you want to wire in push/pull pots or mini-switches down the line. Pair it with the matching SH-18 neck for the full
