Description
The SH-6N takes the Duncan Distortion formula and puts it in the neck slot, where it still hits hard but keeps enough definition to avoid the woolly, boomy trap a lot of hot neck pickups fall into. That’s the real trick here: massive ceramic magnet, hot coil windings, tons of output—yet single notes and chords stay legible even when you’re running the front amp into filth.
This one was designed with old-school metal, nu-metal, gothic, garage, punk and thrash in mind, and it’s a natural fit for drop tunings where low-end clarity usually goes to die. If you’ve compared it against the SH-5 Custom, you already know the Distortion is the more aggressive, more in-your-face option of the two—less vintage-voiced, more built for pushing gain stages hard.
