Description
The Quarter Pound Strat Tapped takes Seymour Duncan’s legendary high-output single-coil and gives it a split personality. Instead of locking you into one voice, this tapped design wires up two separate hot outputs, so you can dial in a leaner, more vintage-flavored pull or slam into the full-fat setting for serious push. Either way, you’re getting well over double the output of a standard Strat single-coil.
What makes the Quarter Pound punch above its weight class is the hardware inside: oversized quarter-inch magnets, hand-polished and paired with a dense coil winding, driving tone and sustain that lands somewhere between a classic single-coil snap and the girth of a P-90. Clean tones stay articulate and touch-sensitive at bedroom volumes, then bloom into a snarling, compressed roar the moment you push your amp into the red.
It’s built for players who live in blues, classic rock, garage, and heavy rock/metal territory but still want single-coil character rather than a humbucker’s smoothed-out midrange. No cover here — just raw coil and magnet doing the work.
