Description
If you love the bite of a bridge Telecaster pickup but can’t stand the 60-cycle hum every time you step near a dimmer switch, the STK-T2B Hot Lead Stack is Seymour Duncan’s answer. It’s a stacked humbucker built to think like a single coil — noiseless, but without sacrificing the twang that makes a Tele a Tele.
Inside, an alnico 5 blade magnet drives a medium-output, overwound coil configuration that pushes tone into vintage-hot territory. String-to-string balance stays even across the neck, and because it’s blade-style rather than individual pole pieces, you won’t get weird volume drop-outs when you bend into a note. The result is a pickup that’s a little smoother and warmer than a traditional bridge lead pickup, without losing that essential spank.
Being one of Seymour Duncan’s patented Stack pickups, it cancels hum completely — no gate, no noise suppressor needed, just quiet in your signal chain. Each one is hand-built in Santa Barbara, CA, using 4-conductor lead wire for wiring flexibility and finished with a wax potting process to keep squeal at bay under gain.
