Description
Built in Seymour Duncan’s Custom Shop for George Lynch, the Screamin’ Demon Trembucker takes the beloved ’59 Model as its starting point and pushes it somewhere feistier. You still get that big, open PAF-style character, but the top end trades a bit of bite for a throatier growl that suits everything from classic rock riffing to jazz-rock fusion and aggressive instrumental playing.
What sets this pickup apart mechanically is its mixed pole piece setup: one row of allen screws paired with one row of standard slotted screws. That combination isn’t just cosmetic — it contributes to an airier, more three-dimensional tone that standard humbuckers don’t quite reach. Output sits at a moderate level, so the pickup cleans up nicely while still having enough push to drive an amp into satisfying overdrive.
Dynamically, expect a percussive attack with a treble response that stays defined and articulate rather than turning brittle or ice-picky under gain. It’s a pickup that rewards pick attack and volume knob riding as much as it does distortion pedals.

- George Lynch Custom Shop design
- Moderate output, PAF-inspired voicing with added growl
