Description
The H3+ sits at the hot end of Tom Anderson’s H series lineup, pushing past the H3 with a noticeable boost in output and a fuller, more assertive bottom end. What it doesn’t sacrifice is the thing Anderson humbuckers are known for: a smooth, articulate overdrive tone that stays clear and musical even when you’re pushing it hard. There’s no harsh fizz or fuzz creeping into the upper register here, just a strong, singing voice that holds together under gain.
A lot of that clarity comes down to construction. Anderson uses a larger pole piece paired with reworked string spacing, creating a genuinely uniform magnetic field across all six strings. That means no weak, thin-sounding low E, no choked-out high strings — every note gets picked up with equal authority, which matters a lot once you start splitting the coils.
Speaking of which, the H series pickups are widely regarded as some of the best-splitting humbuckers around, so if you like switching between full humbucker girth and a leaner single-coil snap, the H3+ gives you both convincingly rather than as an afterthought.
Every H3+ ships wired with a 4-conductor shielded cable, giving you full freedom to wire it however your rig demands — series, parallel, split, phase reversed, whatever your wiring scheme calls for.

- Larger pole pieces and revised string spacing for a uniform magnetic field
- Smooth, clear overdrive tone without harsh upper-end fuzz
