Description
The TM-2 takes Tom Anderson’s M-Series design and puts it right where T-style players live: on a bridge baseplate. That means you get the humbucking quiet of the M-Series platform without losing the snap and air that make a Telecaster bridge pickup feel alive under your pick.
The angled coil alignment is the key to why this doesn’t sound like a generic humbucker wedged into a Tele. It preserves the top-end sparkle you’d expect from a traditional single-coil, while thickening up the midrange into something more muscular and full-chested. Chords have more weight, single-note lines cut with more authority, and the whole thing stays dead quiet.
Pair the TM-2 in the bridge with an M1 in the neck and you’ve got a matched set built to deliver big, cohesive T-tones across the whole fretboard – not just a hot bridge pickup fighting against a thin neck tone.
- M-Series design mounted on a T-style bridge baseplate
- Hum-canceling operation
- Angled alignment for single-coil-like highs with bigger, more muscular mids
- Designed for bridge position; balances tonally with the M1 (neck)
One important note: this pickup is built for T-style bridge routing and is not compatible with ashtray-style bridges. If your Tele’s bridge plate is set up for a standard T-bridge pickup, the TM-2 is ready to go.
