Description
The TV3R is Tom Anderson’s take on the classic Tele bridge pickup, built for players who want more push without losing that snappy, glassy single-coil character. It’s the most popular of Anderson’s bridge offerings for good reason: it runs hotter than a stock vintage-style unit, giving you a commanding, cutting tone that still reads as unmistakably single coil — no compression, no smoothing-over of the attack.
Like every pickup in Anderson’s single-coil lineup, the TV3R is wound around a uniform magnetic field. That means no dead spots or dropouts across the string spread, and no unwanted magnetic pull fighting your strings’ natural vibration. The result is a pickup that feels balanced under your fingers and translates every nuance of your picking dynamics into the signal.
This is the RWRP (reverse wound/reverse polarity) version, which matters if you’re building out a bridge/neck or bridge/middle combination. Pair it with a TV1 or one of Anderson’s VA-series pickups and you get true hum cancellation in the combined positions — silent, quiet, and still full of that rich, sparkling character Anderson pickups are known for.
- T-style bridge position single coil
- Hotter output than traditional vintage-style Tele bridge pickups
- Uniform magnetic field for even string response
- Reverse wound/reverse polarity (RWRP) for hum cancellation with TV1 or VA pickups
If your Tele’s bridge pickup feels thin or underpowered but you refuse to give up true single-coil bite, the TV3R is built exactly for that itch.
