Description
The Antiquity set is Seymour Duncan’s tribute to the original Seth Lover humbucker design, but with a twist: it’s built to already look and sound like it’s lived a long, loud life. Rather than chasing a pristine reissue vibe, these pickups are hand-crafted in the dedicated “Antiquity” room and deliberately aged — nickel silver covers, poles, and hardware all get the vintage treatment so the set looks pulled from a well-loved ’50s guitar.
Sonically, that same old-school approach carries through. Each pickup is left unpotted, which lets the coils breathe a little and preserves the airy, slightly touch-sensitive character vintage humbuckers are known for — including natural variation in DC resistance from one pickup to the next, just as you’d find in an original set. Every unit is individually signed on the magnet and bottom plate by Seymour W. Duncan himself, so you know it’s authentic.
