Description
Seymour Duncan built the Antiquity II Jazzmaster set as a love letter to a sound he chased for decades. Long before he was winding pickups for a living, he was wearing out phonograph needles on records by The Ventures and guitarists like Roy Lanham, chasing that unmistakable Jazzmaster growl paired with the offset’s floating tremolo. Flip through album covers from that golden age of instrumental rock and the Jazzmaster is everywhere — and this set is Duncan’s aged, road-worn tribute to that exact tone.
This is a matched, calibrated pair with distinct winding and magnet setups for neck and bridge: the neck coil winds top-going with north polarity, while the bridge winds top-coming with south polarity, giving each position its own character rather than a mirrored copy. Both pickups share raised top-and-bottom magnet patterns, mount with height adjustment into the body, and read in at 8.3K DC ohms, 4.2 henries of inductance, and a Q of 3.5.
- Top pickup: 3.530″ length x 1.512″ width
- Bottom pickup: 3.530″ length x 1.512″ width
- Total pickup height: .318″
- Total magnet height: .471″
- Winding: top-going (neck), top-coming (bridge)
- Magnet polarity: north (neck), south (bridge)
- Calibrated set
Rounding out the bundle are Ernie Ball EB2222 Hybrid Slinky strings, so once these pickups are seated in your Jazzmaster, you’re set up with fresh strings to dial in that vintage instro voice from day one.
