Description
Born from two years of chasing the tone Steve Vai demanded out of his Ibanez Jems, the Evolution set is built for players who want their amp to sound like it’s about to come apart at the seams. This isn’t a pickup for polite rhythm chugging — it’s tuned for aggression, harmonic complexity, and cutting through a wall of gain.
- DP158FW Evolution Neck: fat, punchy, and loud, with enough low-end push to keep leads from getting thin
- DP159FW Evolution Bridge: tighter and even louder than the neck, voiced for maximum attack
- Both use DiMarzio’s dual-resonance design, pulling out extra harmonic overtones that standard humbuckers leave on the table
- F-spaced coils to line up correctly under the high strings on floating-bridge/trem-equipped guitars
- Finished in white to match or contrast with your build
Because these were engineered around live performance, they hold their composure at stage volume — but the same clarity and presence that makes them work live also lets them slice through a dense studio mix without turning to mud.
