Think of the BQS as the BQC’s more hands-on sibling — same core preamp circuit, but with the bass and treble bands split into separate controls instead of stacked together. That gives you independent low-end and high-end shaping, while the mid-control stays concentric (stacked) for a compact footprint on your control plate. Whether your bass is loaded with active or passive pickups, this pre drops in and gets to work.
Every pot is center-detented, so you can feel your way back to a flat EQ setting without staring at the knobs mid-set — handy when you’re chasing a specific tone live or just want a reliable starting point in the studio.
