Description
DiMarzio’s PAF Master pair takes the vintage humbucker recipe and tightens up the parts that always bugged players: noise, mushy top end, and lifeless dynamics. This set pairs the DP260BK neck with the F-spaced DP261BK bridge, both finished in black, so you get a cohesive voice across the whole fretboard rather than two pickups fighting each other.
- Neck (DP260BK): Alnico 5 magnet, 4-conductor wiring, 193mV output, 7.37K DC resistance. Tuned with a winding count that keeps it clear and singing rather than fat and boomy — full-bodied with a throaty midrange and smooth, creamy highs that sustain without smearing.
- Bridge (DP261BK): Alnico 4 magnet, 4-conductor wiring (1-conductor optional), 278mV output, 7.69K DC resistance. This is the snarl-and-attitude half of the set — it responds to how hard you dig in, handles chords and double stops cleanly, and turns genuinely thick and rockin’ when you pick aggressively.
Together they’re an easy drop-in upgrade for anyone chasing that ’59-style PAF character but wanting less hum and more touch sensitivity. The included Ernie Ball EB2223 Super Slinky strings get your rewired guitar strung up and ready to play the moment the soldering iron cools down.
