DiMarzio built the PAF Master series for players who love vintage humbucker character but want a little more clarity and dynamic range squeezed out of it — quiet under gain, bright without getting brittle, and responsive to how hard you actually pick.
The DP260BK neck pickup is wound with just enough turns to keep things articulate: full and throaty in the low-mids, but never mushy, with smooth, creamy top end that lets single notes and chords stay defined. It’s the neck tone you want when you need warmth that still cuts through.
The DP261BK bridge pickup brings the rock and roll snarl. It tracks multi-note playing well, reacts to pick attack, and turns genuinely nasty when you dig in — thick, snarly, and alive without losing touch with the low end.

Both pickups are finished in black and matched as a set, so the tonal balance between neck and bridge is dialed in from the factory. This set also ships with a free set of D’Addario EXL120 Super Light strings, so you can hear the new tone on fresh strings right out of the box.
