Description
The DiMarzio PAF Master set pairs the DP260BK neck and DP261BK bridge into a matched pickup pair built around the idea that vintage PAF tone doesn’t have to mean noisy or muddy. Both units are F-spaced for floating-bridge routing and finished in black plastic covers.
- DP260BK Neck: Alnico 5 magnet, 4-conductor wiring, 193mV output, 7.37 Kohm DC resistance. Winding count is kept moderate so the pickup stays articulate — full and throaty without turning fat or mushy, with smooth, creamy top end that lets sustain and note definition come through together rather than fighting each other.
- DP261BK Bridge: Alnico 4 magnet, 4-conductor wiring (1-conductor optional), 278mV output, 7.69 Kohm DC resistance. This one leans into rock and roll character — it tracks chords and multi-note playing cleanly, then turns snarly and thick when you dig in with a hard pick attack.
Together they’re designed to complement each other across the neck and bridge positions: warm, clear, and dynamic up front, punchy and aggressive at the bridge, both retaining the quiet, bright PAF-style response players chase in vintage-inspired humbuckers. The 4-conductor wiring on each opens up coil-splitting and series/parallel switching if your wiring setup calls for it.
This set ships with a free pack of D’Addario EXL145 nickel wound heavy strings (.011-.048), so you’ve got fresh strings ready to go the day your new pickups arrive.
