Description
The PAF Master pairing exists for players who love the vintage PAF idea but want it dialed in with a bit more precision — quiet under gain, articulate under a hard pick attack, and dynamic enough to respond to how you actually play, not just how hard you hit it.
On the neck, the DP260BK uses an Alnico 5 magnet and 4-conductor wiring to deliver a full, throaty voice that never turns muddy. Output sits at 193mV with DC resistance of 7.37 Kohm — enough winding to let notes bloom and sustain while keeping the top end smooth and creamy rather than harsh.
On the bridge, the DP261BK (F-spaced for aligned pole pieces on humbucker-routed guitars) swaps in an Alnico 4 magnet for real rock and roll snarl. It’s 4-conductor with a 1-conductor option, reads 278mV output and 7.69 Kohm DC resistance, and it responds beautifully to chords — thick and rockin’ when you dig in, but still capable of separating notes cleanly in denser voicings.
Together, this black-covered set gives you a cohesive vintage-forward tone across both positions without sacrificing clarity or dynamics — the kind of PAF flavor that rewards touch as much as gain.
