This is a matched, calibrated neck and bridge set, so the two pickups are voiced to work together rather than fight each other. As with traditional Jazz Bass designs, the neck pickup is slightly narrower than the bridge. Wiring is RW/RP (reverse wind/reverse polarity), which means running both pickups together cancels hum — a must if you want that quiet, humbucking Jazz Bass sound without sacrificing single-coil bite.
