Description
Some Strat players want sparkle. Others want a wall of humbucker gain in every position — that’s who this pickguard is built for. Seymour Duncan loaded three Hot Rails pickups into one white, 3-ply, 11-hole USA-spec pickguard, wired and ready to drop straight into your guitar.
Each Hot Rails uses a ceramic bar magnet and 4-conductor lead wire, wax potted to stay quiet under gain. Chords come out thick and midrange-heavy, single notes push into screaming lead territory, and none of it feels thin or brittle the way single-coils can under distortion. The pots, switch, and output jack are all top-shelf Seymour Duncan components, hand-assembled in Santa Barbara, CA, with vintage-style cloth push-back wire tying it all together — an instant electronics upgrade on top of the pickup swap.
Swapping pickups later doesn’t mean pulling out the soldering iron. The Liberator system uses screw-clamp connectors that grip bare or tinned leads directly, tightened with the included screwdriver for a solid, low-loss connection. Change your mind on tone down the road and you can rewire in minutes, not hours.
This bundle also throws in a set of Ernie Ball EB2627 Beefy Slinky strings and a tuner, so once the pickguard’s installed you’re ready to string up, tune, and start dialing in that new humbucker roar.
