Description
This is the classic Seymour Duncan combo for players who want vintage sweetness on the neck and real bite in the bridge. The SH-1N ’59 is Duncan’s vacuum-wax-potted take on late-’50s PAF tone — plain enamel wire, long-legged baseplate, no logo — delivering warm, crystalline cleans and full, bright overdrive with slightly more scooped mids than the SH-55 Seth Lover. It’s squeal-free and versatile enough for country, jazz, blues, funk, classic rock, and heavier styles.
Paired in the bridge, the SH-5 Custom takes that PAF DNA and adds muscle. Its ceramic magnet and custom coil design push out a hard-driving, compressed sound with punchy bass, enhanced harmonics, and a distinctive midrange/high-end attack that cuts through a mix without turning to mush — even in dropped tunings. It’s a favorite for classic rock, heavy rock, funk, punk, R&B, and metal, and it plays especially well with rosewood fingerboards.
Both pickups are 4-conductor for full coil-splitting and phase flexibility, finished in black, and built to work together as a balanced, warm-sounding set — vintage-correct up front, PAF-on-steroids in back.
