Built around Michael Landau’s signature approach to Strat-style tone, this set pairs the ML Classic neck and middle pickups with the SSV bridge for a complete, cohesive voicing from position to position.
The ML Classic pickups deliver tight low end, a focused midrange, and a smooth, sparkling top end. A modified staggered pole piece design keeps the magnetic field even under flatter fingerboard radiuses and modern string gauges, so output stays consistent string to string. Both neck and middle are calibrated specifically for their position, with the middle wound reverse-wind/reverse-polarity to cancel hum in combined pickup settings.
Stepping into the bridge, the SSV shares the same tonal DNA as its neck counterpart but is wound hotter. That extra output brings more sustain and a sweeter midrange push, ideal for players who want the bridge pickup to hold its own into a cranked amp without losing clarity.
